Who We Are
A Specialty Contractor You Can Count On
Hilburn Builders, Inc. is an industrial steel and building erector headquartered in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Founded in 2007 by Quintin Hilburn, who began erecting steel structures in 1986, HBI has grown into a trusted contractor with crews deployed across the nation. We specialize in the most safety-sensitive projects in the industry, completed on schedule, without the stress.
Under the leadership of President John Engle, HBI specializes in Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB), industrial steel erection, modular buildings, natural gas midstream facilities, and energy sector projects for major clients including Shell, TC Energy, Linde, Tallgrass, Kiewit, and Black & Veatch.
We maintain 10+ active ironworker crews capable of running multiple large projects simultaneously across the country, completing an average of 45+ projects per year with the proven capacity to take on complex, high-stakes work anywhere in North America.

Workforce Development

HBI maintains a fully registered U.S. Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program, one of the few specialty steel contractors in the country with this qualification.
This credential enables HBI to pursue IRA-funded projects, federal contracts, and prevailing wage work that requires compliance with apprenticeship ratio requirements under the Davis-Bacon Act. As government-backed infrastructure investment grows, this positions HBI as a qualified partner where most specialty contractors simply cannot compete.
Beyond compliance, our apprenticeship program reflects our commitment to investing in people, developing the next generation of skilled ironworkers and building the workforce that will carry HBI forward.
